Ocean Bay Olio Nuovo (Limited Reserve) is now The 1st and ONLY CERTIFIED HIGH PHENOLIC OLIVE OIL IN NORTH AMERICA, for its phenolic concentrations and maintained between 53.6–59°F (12-15°C) constant temperature, and winner of the Aristoleo Gold Award, NYIOOC Gold Award and multi Gold winner in many International Olive Oil Competitions. High Phenolic is the name for the scientifically measurable quality based on the EU 432/2012 HEALTH CLAIM regulation for polyphenols in olive oil.
Olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress. In order to bear the claim information shall be given to the consumer that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 20 g of olive oil. This regulation has changed the olive oil industry forever, with NEW methods developed and verified in Greece and Spain that can accurately measure every phenolic compound in olive oil. Greek scientists initiated clinical trials to study the enhanced health effect of this early harvest olive oil made famous by Hippocrates the father of medicine.
